WHACKY COLOURS AND MAYHEM DAY

A few members of room 9 have joined in on the WHACKY COLOURS AND MAYHEM DAY!

We have Daniel as a Indian chief
Matthew put on everything in his wardrobe including some of his brothers clothes.
Ryan in a mixture of army wear and a bright green hoody!
Matty obviously hasn't brushed his teeth or gone to a dentist in a long time
Isaac is mutlicoloured and isn't wearing jeans
Piri is in strippy socks
John is adoring a tiara
Elspeth is is pink stripes
Freijah has on her multicoloured hoody
Miss E has her purple hair back
Wil has some purple spots from Miss E

Kapa Haka

Room 9 and 15 had a great time at Kapa Haka today with Mr. Chadwick. We are learning the stick song (tī rakau) E papa Waiari.

We have been doing buddy reading, buddy maths, buddy origami. It has been great fun and really cool to get to know some of the younger members of Muritai school.

Thanks Goodness its Friday! But on a Wednesday this week!

We had a great day today during our first rotation of Thank Goodness its Friday Programme. All the classes were mixed up and we headed off to different classes to take part in lots of exciting things:
Mr Hull: Science experiments. Explanations as to what is happening and why.
Miss Postma: Art – Andy Warhole using the digital cameras. Looking at shading and adding colour
Mrs Hooke: Components of an Orchestra to prepare for a visit to the Vector Orchestra later later in Term. Also learning how to play the ukulele!
Miss Edwards: Drama – Childhood family and friendship relationships using picture books as a motivation. Acting out different scenarios.
Mrs MacPherson: Te Reo Kori – sticks/movements and games.
