Camp

Camp is nearly here! 2 weeks today Room 9 and the rest of the yr 5/6 syndicate are off to Forest Lakes for 3 nights!

In class we are preparing for camp by looking at safety on camp. Also we are thinking and discussing things that are worrying us about camp and of course sharing happy thoughts about camp.

Here is a link to Forest Lake http://www.forestlakes.org.nz/ if you would like to see what it looks like!

Week 2

Wow End of Week 2 already!

Room 9 has been very busy this week with swimming, art, setting term goals and thinking about challenges they will face on camp.

We had our first desk inspection today and EVERYONE passed! Room 9 also received the bear for being the best mannered and behaved class in assembly which they were thrilled with.

Looking forward to having an equally good week next week and getting some photos up of Room 9 in action!

Our Class treaty

Hello All.

Room 9 has settled in brilliantly and making an AWESOME start to 2009.

We have been very busy getting ourselves sorted and organised for the school year.

Yesterday we made up our class treaty. There was lots of discussion and we linked the ideas in to the 8 school values. One thing that was very evident from the discussion was that room 9 ( and of course all Muritai children ) are incredibly caring and always want to do their best.

So this is Room 9's treaty for you to see.

- To put 100% effort and determination into everything we do

- To smile and have a positive attitude.

- To be a good role model and to be kind to others

- To help Nicholas and all other classmates

- To listen to instructions and follow the school rules

I must stress the third line of the treaty was very important to the class which just shows how loved Nicholas is in this class and throughout the school.

I hope you enjoyed reading our update. See you again soon!
